Commencing January 1, 2024, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated its Annual Pre-Exam Psychological Counselling program, aligning with the recently released exam schedule spanning from January 1 to February 15, 2024. This program is designed to help students manage exam-related stress effectively. To enhance accessibility to psychological support, CBSE is offering a toll-free IVRS facility at 1800-11-8004, accessible 24x7. This service delivers information and advice in Hindi and English on stress-free exam preparation, time and stress management, FAQs, and crucial contact details of CBSE offices. Additionally, bilingual podcasts covering diverse subjects are available on the official CBSE website (www.cbse.gov.in), offering valuable insights and guidance to both students and parents throughout the examination period.
On Thursday, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Secretary S Krishnan introduced an integrated web portal named ERNET, catering to educational institutions nationwide. The portal provides a range of services, including domain registration, DNS, Website as a Service (WaaS), and Learning Management as a Service (LMaaS). Users can easily create customized websites and Learning Management Systems by selecting templates tailored for schools, colleges, and universities. Utilizing open-source software and incorporating emerging technologies like AI/ML, the portal facilitates one-click publishing of websites and LMS. ERNET India, a not-for-profit scientific society under MeitY, serves as the exclusive domain registrar for education and research institutes with 'ac.in,' 'edu.in,' and 'res.in' domain names, also offering web accessibility, campus Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and connectivity services.
The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has initiated the development of a Single Sign-On (SSO) service to simplify access to the State’s Learning Management System (LMS) portal. Currently, the portal sees minimal usage, with students facing multiple login processes for various courses and external domains not integrated with the APSCHE. The proposed SSO service aims to unify education portals, enhancing student access and providing administrators with a comprehensive view of learning data. This aligns with the government's broader agenda of digitizing educational processes, evidenced by initiatives like the Education Ecosystem Registry, APAAR Id, and updates to the UDISE+ portal.
